    The Immigration Government of Singapore has grouped visa required nationals into 2 groups.

    The people from the respective country list need to obtain a visa online by contacting a local Singaporean or nearest Singapore diplomatic mission or a strategic partner in Singapore or with the one working as authorized immigration agents outside the country.

    The passport holders from these countries can receive their visas in a day by taking a printout of the e-Visa. Except for the people of North Korea, non-ordinary passport holders from these countries do not need to apply for a visa.

    Non-Ordinary Passports

    For the non-ordinary passport holders of Assessment Level II countries, visa requirements will not be applied to the diplomatic or official service passport holders of Jordan, Bangladesh, Tunisia, Morocco, diplomatic passports of Saudi Arabia.

    Visa-Free Visits to Singapore

    The citizens who are not included in the Assessment Level I and Assessment Level II list are granted visa-free visits for a maximum of 30 days. However, there is an exception for a few passport holders, and they are eligible for 90 days to stay.

    What Documents are Required for a Singapore Visa?

    The following documents are required for a Singapore visit visa for Indians –

    1. Duly filled visa application form.
    2. Passport with 6 months validity at least.
    3. Clear photocopy of passport’s first, last, and observation pages.
    4. 2 recent passport-size colour photographs.
    5. Copy of passport of the invitee.
    6. 6 months bank statement of the applicant.
    7. Confirmed return air ticket.
    8. Covering letter stating the purpose of visit, date of travel, number of passengers, details of the land itinerary, place of stay in Singapore, and employment details of the applicant.

    Any documents in Hindi or any other language, including official notes are required to be translated into the English language and duly certified by a notary.

    The Singapore High Commission does not process or issue work passes. Application work passes have to be submitted by potential employers in Singapore directly to the Singapore Ministry of Manpower.

    Yes, you can apply for an extension of your stay in Singapore if you want to stay for a longer period than the number of days granted in your Singapore Visa.

    • Without the borders, photographs should be 35mm wide and 45mm high.
    • It should be taken against a plain white background.
    • The picture should have even exposure and no shadows.
    • The hair of the applicant must not cover the eyes or the eyebrows.
    • The full face of the applicant must be visible with upper shoulders.
    • Refrain from wearing any headgear and plain white clothes. (This is only permissible per religious or racial customs)
    • The frame of the spectacles of the applicant must not cover any parts of the eyes.
    • The lens of the spectacles should not be glaring or reflecting light.
    • Photographs should be in the JPEG image file format.
    • The image size should be 400X514 pixels.
    • The file size should not be more than 60KB.

     

    • Incomplete forms and/or documents submitted with the visa application form may delay the process or get rejected.
    • All visa applications, including duration, are considered on its own merits and subject to approval.
    • Possessing Singapore Visa does not guarantee entry into the country. Entry is determined by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers at the point of entry.
    • All visitors should hold a valid passport and sufficient funds for their stay in Singapore. They should also have a confirmed onward/return air ticket where applicable.
    • The validity of a Singapore Visa refers to the period from when the holder seeks entry into the country. The duration of stay is however determined by ICA officers stationed at the respective entry checkpoints.
    • The Singapore Visa is a pre-entry permission for the holder to travel to and seek entry into the country. It is neither an immigration pass. Grant of an immigration pass is determined by ICA officers at the point of entry.
    • The granted period of stay in Singapore is shown on the visit pass endorsement given on your passport. It is not tied to the validity of your Singapore Visa.
    • Tourist Visa: This visa is issued in the form of ETA to people wanting to visit Singapore for tourism. It can be obtained before or on arrival in Singapore.
    • Business Visa: The Business Visa is also known as a Work Visa. It is given to people seeking employment or wanting to start a business in Singapore. This visa is commonly known as an Employment or Entrepreneur Pass in Singapore.
    • Student Visa: Commonly known as a Student’s Pass, the Student Visa is required if you are looking forward to studying in Singapore.
    • This provision is available for Indian nationals in transit to or from any third country by air. The VFTF facility is available for 96-hours. Indian travellers without a Singapore Visa and not eligible for VFTF cannot enter Singapore.
    • Transit travellers satisfying the criteria for VFTF should meet the prevailing entry requirements before entering Singapore. The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers at the point of entry will assess and determine entry.
    • Any extension of stay in Singapore for transit travellers under the VFTF is strictly not permitted.

    Indian National Transit Travellers

    Indian nationals in transit to or from any third country through Singapore are eligible for the 96-hour VFTF. However, this is subject to meeting the following requirements.
    • Irrespective of the mode of transport you have used to enter Singapore, you should only depart via air or sea.
    • Transit travellers should also have a valid onward air/ferry/cruise ticket departing Singapore within 96 hours.
    • With a validity of at least 1 month from the date of entry into Singapore under VFTF, transit travellers must have a valid visa or long-term pass issued by any of the countries listed in the table below.
